Entreprenuership Lessons — and Fun!
At Emmanuel Christian Academy, 50 students in Grades 4-8 are participating in the E-Camp Enterprise Program which will be held from Monday, July 2 through Friday, July 27, 2012. Using a Network for Teaching Enterprise-based curriculum, students are learning business fundamentals through a combination of classroom lessons, guest speakers, field trips, small group discussion, one-on-one mentoring, and business plan development.
Young alumni from previous years' entreprenuership camps have also volunteered to help lead the program for younger students. Students will display and sell their products at a Flea Market Day. The E-Camp culminates with students developing business plans and presentations for an audience and competing for awards for creativity, ingenuity, and marketing appeal.
