Congratulations to President John Williams and the Akron Urban League on another successful event honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Returning keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Eric George Vickens of Lithonia, Georgia, delivered a powerful call to use our voices to activate and uplift one another, echoing Dr. King’s reminder that “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
The hall was filled with an enthusiastic call to action from leaders representing every level of government, from federal to local. It is our collective responsibility to activate the spaces that move us forward.

Annual Christmas Program
On December 18th at 6 p.m., Emmanuel Christian Academy will joyfully celebrate the Christmas season with its annual school play, featuring this year’s production, “The Christmas Court.”
Written and directed by Ms. Katrice Vinson, ELA/Performing Arts Director, the play showcases the talent and creativity of ECA’s middle school students. This engaging production brings humor, heart, and a powerful message of Christ’s love to the ECA community.
Following the performance, experience a seasonal celebration as the entire student choir showcase their beautiful musical talents in a Christmas Concert under the direction of Mr. Cedric Talbert.
Emmanuel Christian Academy extends sincere appreciation to the students, staff, and families who helped to make this year’s Christmas play a memorable success. Their dedication and joyful spirit continues to bring light to our community as we celebrate the birth of our Savior “For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”- Luke 2:11
Unable to make it in person? Experience a live broadcast of the performance on Facebook Live @ECARams
