Emmanuel’s Entrepreneurship Camp participants were recognized during the 2015 Akron Urban League Ice House Graduation.
These young men and women spent time at the Urban League, participating in the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program. The Ice House course includes classroom presentations, online lessons and video interviews with successful entrepreneurs who have triumphed over hardship and adversity by embracing an entrepreneurial mindset. The course teaches students to analyze/understand the mindset of successful entrepreneurs; recognize and seek opportunities; design shoestring strategies for putting ideas into action; and broaden marketing networks and connections.
Aa’Rron Epps, director of the Ice House program, celebrated Emmanuel’s students as future leaders and business owners. Keynote speaker Terrell Dillard, President of Jan-Pro, encouraged all graduates to be prepared and stay ready for all that might come their way as entrepreneurs. He advised the graduates that, while entrepreneurship is hard work, it is also very rewarding.
