Entrepreneurship Camp is a collaborative program for students rising 5th grade through 8th grade to utilize business fundamentals and financial literacy for impacting the Greater Akron Community. The four week program is designed to introduce economically disadvantaged students in the Greater Akron area to the concepts of entrepreneurship and financial literacy while developing relationships and providing mentoring opportunities with individuals and organizations throughout greater Akron. The program is taught by NFTE trained teachers and classroom teachers applying a combination of mini lectures, team projects, small group discussions, guest speakers, field trips, and workshops. Entrepreneurship Camp gives participants a basic understanding of business fundamentals and the process of beginning a new venture. Participants will a acquire skills needed to gain personal knowledge of the practices utilized and challenges faced by entrepreneurs.Please carefully read through the entire enclosed application, complete and return it by June 3, 2016.
